Litigating for Change

Litigating for Social Change was an international conference on strategic litigation, held in Belfast in October 2016. The event was organised by The Social Change Initiative, Law Centre NI and The Atlantic Philanthropies. It brought together around 200 NGO’s, community activists, litigators, academics and funders from  11 different countries. Strategic litigation has been widely used as a tool for social change.  This conference sought to take stock of the progress made and lessons learnt.  The following materials contain video clips summarising key issues raised at the conference, as well as access to a range of useful resources for funders and activists who are interested in strategic litigation.
